Arranging Your Clothes with Custom Fashion Display Fixtures
Article by Tom Tran
It is a need to have a well-arranged apparel stand that entices customers to try your clothing merchandise on and helps persuade your clients to basically purchase your apparel. An organized fixture area must be a prime concern for clothing merchandisers. In this method, all clients will have clean fashion displays.
Correctly categorize all your clothing. Before putting your merchandise to their respective fashion display racks, you must first classify them into design, format, color then sizes.
If you have correct category, you can ensure that your customers will not have a tedious time in browsing through your products. Using clothing fixture stands, your clothing display stands, your clothes will look very well-displayed and simple. With the use of appropriate area management and planning, you don’t have to succumb to unnecessary losses. In addition, your products will be accentuated through your fashion fixtures because they were prepared to be put in the most optimum location in the store space.
Ensure proper area planning. Area management prior to doing anything else must be made as a top concern. Think about taking your apparel displays and place them in between kitchen supplies. It will surely not just lose the desire of your clients, but it will very well cause weakening in your goods.
Sanitation is the factor. In any business, ensuring freshness is without a doubt one of the top priorities. Cleanliness should not only be limited to the actual merchandise itself but also with the clothing fixture that is on it. Be sure to have proper air on your display place. It also creates the mood of your fashion to show. A good lighted apparel display stand can easily be of aid in creating the feel of your merchandise. For top-quality brands, a direct spotlight at your clothing fixture rack will create drama. Enough ventilation will also do the trick in ensuring a great number of client traffic within your display location. It is a fact that temperature level has an effects the moods of a shopper.
Ensure that you have a good level of stocks especially on items that move. A blank clothing fixture stand is not good to checkout and can incur high opportunity losses. Preparing and getting the best clothing display fixtures that will suit your needs will vamp up your apparel goods. However, for you to classify your apparel well, you should understand how to go through method in creating them to be more appealing.

Fashion Weeks
Article by Tania Machowska
Fashion Weeks are events held by designers or fashion houses to display their latest designs and creations to the world’s media and fashion buyers. Catwalk shows are the mainstays of these weeks which are held around the world and which attract mass attention globally. The primary fashion weeks are held in the style capitals, London, Milan, Paris and New York, but there are many others that take place in lesser known areas of the fashion world, and are designed to draw people’s attention to less prominent designers. These include Australian Fashion Week, Japan Fashion Week, South Africa Fashion Week, and Los Angeles Fashion week. In the main fashion cities, fashion weeks are held twice a year, displaying ‘autumn’ trends and their ‘spring’ collections. These are held a long time in advance of the actual season to allow adequate coverage and previews of the designs before the actual season. This is also done to give buyers a chace to purchase the designers’ creations, and so retail stores can use elements of the designers’ styles in their mass produced clothes for the High Street market.
Fashion Weeks are attended by buyers for major stores, the media, celebrities, and members of the entertainment industry. In years gone by, fashion weeks were predominantly used as commerical events, and only people in the industry attended them. Today, however they are lavish, exclusive events, attended by many celebrities and cause a media frenzy. The week is a 7-day extravaganza which often includes live music, lavish galas and charity events. Some shows are also open to selected members of the public, as well as some of the events that display the designer’s latest handbags, jewellery, shoes, hats and cosmetics. Many important fashion design schools now feature in contemporary Fashion Weeks as well.
Fashion Weeks have been around since 1943, when the first one was held in New York to divert attention away from French fashions during the Second Worl War, when fashion industry insiders were unable to travel to Paris to see French fashion shows. Fashion publicist Eleanor Lamber staged a “Press Week” for fashion journalists to present the creations of American designers, who were not usually paid any attention by the fashion media. The buyers were not invited to these shows but instead had to visit the designers’ showrooms. Press Week was an unprecedented success, and fashion magazines like Vogue, which were normally filled with French designs, beagn increasingly to focus on American fashion.
Some beauty products sponsor fashion weeks, such as the L’Oreal Melbourne Fashion Festival and the L’Oreal Fashion Week held in Toronto, due to the inherent relationship between fashion and beauty. Other fashion weeks are held for one precise type of fashion, such as swimwear, lingerie, or bridal couture. Fashion weeks are viewed as the designer’s way of making their collections visible and broadcast throughout the world in a very short space of time. This shortens the time in which it will take for people to start recognising, buying and following the designer’s trends, which in the end is the designer’s ultimate aim.

Victoria Beckham unveiled her first signature LV Handbags at her New York Fashion Week show.
The singer-turned-fashion-designer debuted her Spring/Summer 11 line in a townhouse on Manhattan’s Upper East Side yesterday afternoon. The range consisted of 26 elegant dresses and her first statement bag.
Victoria sat in the front row giving her own commentary on all the looks, discussing her inspirations, fabrics and the techniques employed making each dress and accessory.
Victoria said she was particularly proud of her bag, which will sell for £1200. She said she had created the luxury item in collaboration with Marc Jacobs designer Katie Hillier and was glad of Katie’s expertise in the area.
“I knew what I wanted, but I needed someone with the expertise, who knew about factories,” Victoria said.
The Victoria Women Handbags is a square, two-handled tote that comes in two colours, buffalo and crocodile. It also comes in two sizes, one smaller bag and one large travelling one.
Victoria’s dresses received admiring gasps as they came down the runway. In a departure from her usual style, Victoria favoured flowy silhouettes instead of her usual structure and corsetry.
She said she had created on violet silk number by simply wrapping one and a half metres of fabric around herself and tying it in a knot.
Another stand-out garment was a mandarin-coloured shift dress. Victoria explained the piece had been made in three sections, with the middle segment cut on the bias to make it as flattering as possible.
“It really hugs and flatters the body. I wanted to celebrate curves,” she said. “And the cotton fabric really soaks up the colour”.
Silk in eye-popping shades featured heavily in Victoria’s show, as did high-waistlines and statement seams.JR Smith is an author who would like to introduce you something about fashion, like the trend ofTimberland on sale,

Magazines.com Features Discounted Fashion Magazines During Fashion Week
Franklin, TN (Vocus) February 18, 2009
New York Fashion Week happens twice a year–in February and September. The event hosts fashion designers from all over the world who show their collections.
While other cities like Paris, Milan and Florence also host major fashion events, the New York City event is considered the main showcase event for American designers, who will be previewing their fall 2009 collections.
To mark this important event in the fashion industry, internet retailer Magazines.com is featuring subscriptions to top-selling fashion magazines like Vogue, Elle, InStyle, Allure, Esquire, GQ, Lucky, Vanity Fair, Glamour, Cosmopolitan and Seventeen at significant discounts off cover prices.
Fashion Week began in 1993 and has been held at Bryant Park behind the New York Public Library near New York City’s famed Garment District, home of many fashion designers’ studios. The Council of Fashion Designers of America and IMG Fashion, which run Fashion Week, announced earlier this month the event will move to Lincoln Center for 2010.
In its first year the event featured about 35 shows and has grown to some 70 shows. This year’s runway shows include up-and-coming American designer Charlotte Ronson, and Rachel Roy as well as established designers Tommy Hilfiger, Lacoste and Lela Rose among many more.
It is estimated more than 200,000 fashion industry professionals and celebrities attended last year’s invitation-only events, which generated $ 466 million in visitor spending for New York City.
